Commission reappoints three members to Planning Commission through 2029

The commission unanimously approved reappointments to the Harvey County Planning Commission/Board of Zoning Appeals on March 3, renewing the three seats with incumbent members Justin Stucky, Joni Embree-Meinders and Martie TenEyck. Planning Director Karen Rothe told the board four applications were received for three open positions and that staff recommended the three reappointments based on experience and residency.
Rothe said the terms run from April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2029. Commissioners approved the reappointments without discussion (motion by Becky Reimer, second by Don Schroeder). The new terms maintain continuity on the commission as the county moves toward consideration of building-code and nuisance regulation updates; Rothe said survey results (more than 450 responses) will be presented to the Planning Commission in April.
