Commissioners schedule Feb. 4 work session after committee-assignment debate
Summary
After motions to reassign committee memberships failed, the Harvey County commissioners agreed to continue the discussion at a work session scheduled for Feb. 4 at 9:00 a.m.
Commissioners revisited committee assignments during agenda item discussion but were unable to reach agreement. Commissioner Don Schroeder proposed reassigning committee groupings so each commissioner would experience every committee; his motion died for lack of a second. A subsequent motion by Commissioner Reimer to retain last year’s assignments (with one LEPC change) also failed without a second. Chairman Terry Scott proposed tabling the item and the board agreed to hold a work session Feb. 4 at 9:00 a.m. to continue consideration.
The matter remains unresolved and will return to the commission for formal action following the work session.
