The board received updates on athletics and upcoming school events at the March 24 meeting.
The athletic director’s report noted a fundraiser to pay for gym wall padding and a plan to purchase folding/padded chairs. Junior-high baseball, softball and track schedules were reported as completed. Superintendent Todd reminded the board of a field work day on March 27.
Principal Lisa Guzman reviewed a string of upcoming activities (a detergent fundraiser, Read to Ride, parent-teacher conferences on April 8–9, a teacher PD day April 10, Book Blast April 13–23, assemblies on April 14 and April 21, and a Seattle Children’s Museum visit for grades 3–8). She asked that the northwest parking lot be kept clear for the mobile museum, a 45-foot vehicle with slide-outs.
