The La Pine City Council unanimously approved June 24 an extension of a Memorandum of Understanding with Community Planning Assistance for Wildfire (CPAW), through partner Headwaters Economics, to continue services at no cost to the city through Dec. 31, 2026. City staff presented the report recommending the extension and characterized the additional services as an extension of assistance for wildfire planning.
Councilor Curtis moved to approve the extension of the Memorandum of Understanding between Headwaters Economics and the City of La Pine; Councilor Morse seconded and the motion passed with recorded ayes from all councilors present. The extension will continue Headwaters Economics' support through the end of the calendar year at no direct cost to the City.
