Ricky Wright described debris that had spilled onto neighboring property and several makeshift structures toward the back of the lot. Staff recorded a condemnation affidavit in January 2026 and reported they had been unable to identify heirs or anyone to accept notice despite searches; the city posted the hearing notice and mailed it to the address of record.
Board members asked what happens when heirs cannot be found; Wright said staff can only continue sending notice to the address on record and that liens are likely after demolition. Mister Allred moved to adopt the staff recommendation to order demolition or allow 30 days for appeal; the board approved the motion by roll call.
