County elections and procurement staff presented two related items: a five-year lease renewal with Pitney Bowes for a new postage machine and a five-year countywide postage software contract (Green Trail) that will cover machines in multiple departments.
Melanie, representing Elections, said the Pitney Bowes lease totals $46,267.80 and will be billed quarterly from 11/01/2026 through 10/31/2031. Natalie described the Green Trail software agreement valued at $25,081.20 over five years (approximately $5,016.24 per year) and said the software will enable e-certified mail, rate-shopping among carriers and analytics that could generate savings. Commissioners voted to approve both contracts and described the effort as a cost-savings and time-efficiency measure for county departments.
