Craig Hammer moved and the Selectboard unanimously approved the appointment of Phil Edelstein to the Planning Commission to fill a vacancy left by Joe Saladino's resignation. The board also accepted routine minutes and warrants during the meeting.
In other community business, Vice Chair Craig Hammer asked Gig Zboray to contact Great River Hydro to request weed whacking and a fresh veterans' flag at Blanchard Cemetery, which Hammer said had not been well maintained by the company. The board also approved a Home Town Hero banner and $100 scholarship for Jake Caruso (purchase of a house at 1587 Holbrook on 4/23/26 was recorded); the board noted Rodney Caruso does not appear to have ties to Whitingham and therefore was not approved for the same recognition.
