The Butler County Planning Commission acted on a cluster of subdivision and plat requests and approved or recommended approval for multiple cases on the May 5, 2026 agenda.
PL 26-11 (Bodecker final plat) was approved to create three lots of roughly 9–10 acres each after earlier rezoning. PL 26-12 (Cannady Corner Addition) was approved to create a 5.8-acre lot from a recently split 46-acre tract and the commission confirmed that any future division would require returning for plat approval. PL 26-13 (Prairie Creek Estates II replat) was recommended for approval with staff requirements after contractor Mike Hoffman described planned widening of Prairie Creek Road by 4–5 feet, extension of existing culverts and regrading of ditches; the developer also plans to extend water lines to serve the new lots. The commission also recommended approval for PL 26-16 (Countryside Acres preliminary plat), noting the developer has begun extending rural water and that internal roads and culvert tie-ins will meet county standards.
Commission votes on these items were unanimous (motions carried 6-0) and Chairperson Varner announced the plats will go before the Board of County Commissioners on May 26, 2026, where dedications or final approvals will be considered as required.
