Town staff recommends Lynn Moberly as part-time prosecuting attorney on hourly basis

Clerk Myhre told the council the town has no active prosecuting attorney contract and that former counsel recommended Lynn Moberly; Ms. Moberly, who prosecutes for Issaquah, Snoqualmie, North Bend, and Duvall, is willing to represent Beaux Arts Village on an hourly, as-needed basis while staff and Town Attorney Linehan work on an agreement.
Clerk/Treasurer Amy Myhre reported that the town no longer has an active contract for prosecuting attorney services and that the former prosecutor recommended Lynn Moberly as an hourly, as-needed counsel. The minutes state Ms. Moberly currently serves as prosecutor for Issaquah, Snoqualmie, North Bend and Duvall and that she is willing to represent Beaux Arts Village. Clerk Myhre said she is working with Town Attorney Linehan and Ms. Moberly on an agreement.
The council did not adopt a resolution or vote at the June meeting; the minutes record that staff are advancing discussions toward a formal agreement or resolution for future consideration.
