Williamstown Cemetery Commission renews Kirkyard Services contract, adds $50 pickup fee

Chair Matt Couillard of the Williamstown Cemetery Commission opened discussion of vendor contracts at the Oct. 24 meeting and noted the budget looked "okay" on review. Susan Lyons reported that Kirkyard Services had sent a contract by email that includes a new $50 charge for pickup of corner posts or foot markers.
Orvil Lasell moved to renew the contract with Kirkyard Services for another year; Daphne Herwig seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The commission signed the contract at the meeting. The commission previously reviewed recent Kirkyard invoices, including a $5,125 mowing invoice and smaller charges for marker installations and burials that were included in the warrants list.
