Brooks County Commissioners on Sept. 12 approved two offers to purchase tax‑sale properties brought before the Court.
The first approval covered Lots 8, 9 and 10 in Block 5 of the La Colonia Addition (Suit No. 09‑5‑01828‑TX). The Court approved the offer in the amount of $2,000.00 on a motion by Commissioner Horacio Villarreal III, seconded by Commissioner Martin "Marty" Cabrera; the roll call vote was unanimous.
The second approval concerned approximately 10.00 acres out of Tract 8 in the Ruio Grande Vineyards La Alameda Subdivision (Suit No. 17‑01‑02225‑TAX). The Court approved an offer of $13,100.00 on a motion by Commissioner Horacio Villarreal III, seconded by Commissioner Martin "Marty" Cabrera; that motion also passed unanimously. Both approvals were recorded in the minutes as passed and are on file with the County Clerk.
