Council offers summer reminders and congratulates graduates; Benbrook Nail Bar reopening noted

Councilmembers used the council-comments portion of the meeting for community updates. Councilmember Mary Mackey (speaker 3) congratulated recent graduates and reminded residents to watch for children now that school is out. "Today was the last day of school for 4 of the highest. Graduation to all our graduates," Mackey said, urging drivers to take care with children out for summer.
Mr. Tyner (speaker 7) praised teachers and community volunteers for their support of students, and Miss Franklin (speaker 8) reminded attendees that city offices will be closed Monday for Memorial Day. Councilmember Moore (speaker 9) noted that the Benbrook Nail Bar, which was damaged when a vehicle went through it, will reopen on May 27. The mayor adjourned the meeting at 7:41 p.m.
