Commissioners debate higher rideshare credit, set three-space maximum

"I think the credit ought to be higher because, you know, if you're at a restaurant for an hour and a half, in that hour and a half I'm pulling out of nowhere 10 people Uber or Lyft into that spot," the commissioner said, urging staff to consider a larger multiplier. Staff noted the draft includes a cap of three rideshare spaces per site and recommended preserving a maximum level while discussing credit value.
After discussion the commission reached informal consensus to keep a maximum of three rideshare-designated spaces per site and asked staff to bring back numeric options for adjusting the credit value at a future meeting; this was a procedural direction during the hearing, not an ordinance amendment.
