EDC notes upcoming community events, workshops and next meeting date

The board reviewed administrative items and a calendar of upcoming community events. The clerk asked members to mark June 15 for the next EDC meeting. Staff highlighted Parkfest on May 29 at Luedecke Park, a Juneteenth celebration on June 18 and a July 4 celebration at Erin Park. Staff also encouraged newer board members to attend an EDC sales-tax workshop in Richardson (scheduled for September, 8 a.m.–3 p.m.).
Staff noted logistical items (jersey orders for board members) and said more event details will be posted by the Parks & Recreation ("spark") department and on the city website. The clerk and staff said they will follow up with confirmed times and registrations.
