The Balch Springs Type A board approved a $750 sponsorship June 15 to participate in the Best Southwest legislative breakfast series for 2026. Staff said the sponsorship provides the city logo on marketing materials, seating reservations for up to four people and a 30‑second promotional video to be shown on Aug. 21, when participating state representatives will be featured.
Staff noted Type B had already approved $750, and that the Best Southwest breakfasts are a recurring regional networking opportunity for economic development staff, developers and elected officials. Board members voted in favor by roll call. Staff encouraged newer board members to attend and said reservations may be made through staff.
