Councilmember McCarthy to relocate; council to address insurance and hold arborist walk

Councilmember James McCarthy told the council he will be relocating out of Beaux Arts Village sometime in late summer, which will create a council vacancy likely around Sept. 1. Councilmember Stacy Saal will assume McCarthy’s accounting review responsibilities when he vacates the seat.
Councilmember Tom Stowe reported he had discussed RSMA insurance coverage for council meetings held in private homes; council chose to table the matter and revisit it in an executive session in June. Councilmember Paula Dix said she will conduct an arborist walk with the Town Arborist on May 28 to inspect a hemlock tree on the Angle Path that appears to be dying and to work on restarting the drip irrigation system there.
