Clerk reports Rackspace email archive moved to Outlook; Springbrook under review

Clerk/Treasurer Amy Myhre reported she has downloaded archived emails from Rackspace into Outlook (locating messages back to 2015 and one from 2011), and said she is evaluating Springbrook accounting software as a possible replacement for current systems.
Clerk/Treasurer Amy Myhre told the council she has finished downloading archived emails from Rackspace and uploading them to Outlook, noting she was able to locate emails back to 2015 and one from 2011. The council reached consensus to cancel the Rackspace agreement and asked Myhre to consider additional backups (for example, a thumb drive copy).
Myhre also reported she spoke with clerks at the Small Cities Connector event and that many small towns use Springbrook for accounting software. She has met with Springbrook and will continue to evaluate whether the software is an appropriate fit before making a recommendation to council.
