Executive Director Stephanie McGee presented quarterly licensing statistics and inspection results at the Aug. 6–7 meeting. As of July 31, 2025, the Board reported 477 individual licensees (including 197 funeral arrangers) and 131 licensed facilities (67 funeral establishments, 19 direct cremation facilities, 27 crematories, and 18 cemeteries). The office received 26 applications during the past quarter.
McGee reported inspection statuses for required biennial inspections: 61 completed with no violation, 28 pending resolution of noncompliance findings and several inspections scheduled or with pending reports. The office had opened and closed five complaints in the quarter and had 21 open complaints with varied statuses.
On finances, McGee presented the balance sheet showing a bank balance of $365,326.46 and explained expenditures exceeded budget projections in board compensation and legal fees; revenue to date was 108% of expectations. The Board unanimously approved the financial statements as presented.
