"Rezoning the 0.75 acre subject property from professional office to local business would unify the zoning for the entire lot," Schlanger said, and staff recommended approval because the change aligns the use with the city’s future land use designation.
The property owner, who identified himself as the owner of Star University School (speaker 16), said the request was to "be in compliance with the city rules" and that he notified 13 property neighbors within 500 feet. No public speakers registered; commissioners moved and approved the rezoning by roll-call vote.
