Roxbury Planning Board appoints legal, engineering and planning professionals for 2026

At its Jan. 7 meeting the Roxbury Planning Board approved a series of professional appointments and contract awards for calendar year 2026. The board authorized a professional-services contract with Thomas J. Germinario, Esq., to serve as Planning Board Attorney; recorded contract rates are $185 per hour for attorney time, $195 per hour for litigation, $90 per hour for paralegal time and $40 per hour for secretarial time.
The board also appointed Paul Ferriero, P.E., P.P., of Boswell Engineering as Planning Board Engineer at $195 per hour for engineering time and named McDonough & Rea Associates, Inc. as a consulting traffic engineer to assist as needed (to be billed to applicants’ escrows where appropriate). Resolutions were adopted to appoint Russell Stern LLC and Burgis Associates Inc. as consulting planners to the board on an as-needed basis; both appointments were made as professional services awarded without competitive bidding consistent with the Local Public Contracts Law and Municipal Land Use Law requirements.
The meeting record notes that the Township Chief Financial Officer certified availability of funds for the contracts. All the professional appointment resolutions were adopted by voice vote.
