The Bellaire City Council voted unanimously to award a construction contract to ISJ Underground Utilities LLC for the Bel Air 216 Group A Phase 3 water and wastewater improvements, authorizing the city manager to execute an agreement not to exceed $3,941,163.
Mayor Pappas read the agenda summary and scope of work, noting the project would replace approximately 24,120 linear feet of water distribution lines in sizes from 2 inches to 12 inches, and include fire hydrants, valves, services and all labor and materials. “So all those in favor of our consent agenda item, please signify by raising your right hand,” the mayor said; the item passed unanimously.
Councilmember Gordon commended staff for a clear procurement packet and said the information made it easy to support the low bid. City staff will administer the contract through Capital Projects and Public Works, with implementation and timing to be managed by the department.
