The Bedford City Council reorganized several board and commission assignments and confirmed a reappointment for mayor pro tem at its July 14 meeting. Council members volunteered for open seats on the Parks and Recreation Board, Trinity River Authority liaison, Beautification Advisory Board, Library Advisory Board, and Senior Advisory Board; Michael Wells read back the assignments and the council approved the appointments unanimously.
Mayor nominated Michelle Dawkins to continue as mayor pro tem; Dawkins said she would like to continue if the council agreed. "Yes. I ... if the council members were in favor, I would like to continue," Dawkins said. The council voted and the nomination passed with six in the affirmative. Staff will proceed with updating liaison designations and posting the official assignments.
