Council approves EMS equipment purchase and other consent items

At its July 14 meeting the Bedford City Council approved several consent items brought forward by City Manager Andrea Roy, including approval of minutes from the June 23 meeting and a purchasing agreement for emergency medical supplies. Roy described a three-year agreement with two one-year renewal options with Boundtree Medical LLC for the procurement of critical care and EMS equipment; the arrangement was presented as $70,000 annually, totaling $350,000 should all renewal options be exercised.
"Medical supplies, for our EMS, and funding is provided through the fire operating budget," Roy said, explaining the purchase and funding source. Council moved and approved the consent agenda unanimously. Council members did not request amendments to funding during the vote.
