The council approved its consent agenda on June 9, which included three items presented by City Manager Andrea Roy: approval of the May 26, 2026 minutes; a resolution authorizing a one‑year agreement (with four one‑year renewal options) for purchase and delivery of water‑treatment chemicals and replacement parts from Petrochemical Company after the lowest bidder was found non‑responsive for not meeting a three‑year experience requirement; and a resolution approving installation of a stop sign at Oak Cove Lane and Edgewater Drive as requested by a resident and evaluated by staff.
Andrea Roy told the council that staff received two bids for the chemicals contract but recommended Petrochemical Company because the low bidder did not meet minimum experience specifications. Roy also said the current ordinance requires council approval for stop signs but staff is evaluating an update to allow routine traffic control devices to be handled administratively and notified to council. Mayor Pro Tem Dawkins asked whether a committee could review other streets for additional signs; Roy said staff could look into it.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was called and passed by unanimous verbal vote.
