City manager outlines CIP progress, fleet plan and revenue from vehicle sales

City Manager Fenner gave a detailed administrative update on capital projects, personnel and fleet management. "The city has completed $8,000,000 in CIP projects, $13,000,000 of CIP projects are under construction, dollars $20,000,000 in projects are under design," Fenner said, and added staff are pursuing additional funding through congressional channels for larger projects.
Fenner described a new fleet strategy that sequences purchases and leases over 1–12 year horizons to better manage budget impacts; he said the recent sale of a retired ladder truck brought in $305,000 to support a miscellaneous revenue projection. The manager also noted progress on utility metering replacement, audits and an upcoming audit update on utility billing that will return to council.
Council thanked staff for the early budget process and the CIP snapshot; Fenner said the administration will schedule workshops and strategic initiative discussions related to the multi-year plan.
