The council appointed Council Member Herndon as president of the Anna Public Facility Corporation and the Anna Housing Finance Corporation for a three-year term.
Natasha Roach, the city's acting director of economic development, introduced the item and explained the vacancy created by the expiration of Councilman Carver's term. Council Member Totten nominated Herndon; the motion passed 6-0.
Roach said she would follow up with the newly appointed president to discuss responsibilities. The appointment fills the mayoral-designated role for the two related nonprofit corporations that the city records and the council will monitor through normal reporting channels.
