Property owner urges Anna to update ETJ map after petitions were rejected

City of College Station as authority he believes requires the city to update its municipal map. He told the council the statutory clock had expired for his property and urged an immediate map update to reflect the removal.
City counsel intervened, asking council members and staff to refrain from commenting because the city is engaged in active litigation about whether the petitions it received complied with the law. The counsel said staff has not found the submissions received to date to be compliant and warned that staff cannot provide legal advice to petitioners.
The council did not take action on Smith's request during the meeting. The record shows a follow-up question from Smith asking why an injunction or stay had not been filed; no such filing was reported in the meeting record.
