Tiffany Nichols, general manager of the Abilene Convention Center (managed by Legends Global), presented the center's 2025 annual report to the council, highlighting growth in event count and financial performance.
Nichols said the center hosted 177 events in 2025 (137 returning, 40 new) and reported $1,370,000 in gross event income and $1,050,000 in net event income. She noted increases in box-office totals, with nearly 43,000 tickets sold in 2025, and improvements in social-media reach and subscriber lists.
Staff also described operational changes: new banquet seating, a state-of-the-art auditorium soundboard, and the transition to in-house bar and concession operations, which began rolling out during 2025 and fully implemented in October; Nichols said in-moment and post-event surveys showed 98% of respondents rated experiences as excellent or very good.
What's next: The center expects to see full financial impact of in-house operations in 2026 and will continue pursuing bids and events to sustain regional visitation.
