During the public hearing, BJ Pritchard of EHT Engineering, representing owner Timothy Yandell, explained the applicant is pursuing a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) and said the new smaller 2-acre lot would contain roughly 9,000 square feet of buildable area currently outside the floodplain.
Councilman Espinosa abstained from the vote; the mayor announced the motion carried.
What's next: Staff will proceed with the map revision and typical development-review steps; the applicant indicated they will pursue base flood elevation adjustments as part of the process.
