The Barbour County Commission approved a solar lighting installation at the Teter Creek Lake boat ramp on June 18. Commissioners heard that state, local and federal elected officials and representatives from the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources supported the proposed solar lighting plan by Emory Electric Service Solutions. The total project cost is $1,090.00.
Commission President David Strait moved to approve the project; Commissioner Bob Richardson seconded and the vote was 3-0. The county will proceed with the solar installation as presented.
