The Big Stone County Board of Commissioners authorized payment of claims totaling $117,674.33 at its Oct. 7, 2025 meeting. Auditor-Treasurer Michelle Knutson presented the year-to-date financial information and asked for questions before the board approved the payments.
Commissioner Klages moved to authorize payment of claims, Commissioner Zimmel seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. Vendors receiving payments in excess of $2,000 included TrueNorth Steel ($37,013.04), Kris Engineering ($9,857.08), Nelson Electric ($8,369.92), Ag Water Management ($4,218.75), West Con ($4,857.45) and others; the minutes list a total of 48 payments under $2,000 amounting to $23,183.57.
