The Barbour County Commission approved purchasing ten LED lights for the county fairgrounds to complete an LED upgrade project. The grant covered eight fixtures at $9,599.00; commissioners approved spending a total of $14,355.98, with the $4,756.98 balance to be paid from the Coal Reallocation Fund.
Brad Miller presented the quotes and the commission voted 3-0 on a motion by Jedd Schola to accept the LED Light Experts proposal and cover the local match. The purchase will complete replacement of lighting funded in part by the grant.
