The commission recommended approval of a replat for 401 South Trinity Street to allow a new garage on a roughly 0.265-acre lot. Planning Director Lisa Hannan told commissioners that the Board of Adjustments had granted a special exception allowing an additional 5-foot encroachment into the rear yard for the proposed garage.
Hannan said staff notified 27 property owners within 200 feet; staff received one phone call from a property owner who had been confused about whether Market Street was being closed or narrowed, and staff explained the application and the caller had no objection. Commissioners asked whether the fence line or the alley would be affected; staff confirmed it would not. After a motion, second and voice vote, the commission unanimously recommended approval to City Council.
