City reports EV street sweeper delivered; splash pad groundbreaking pending health permit; reservoir painting complete

Public Works Director John Simmons told the committee the City’s new electric (EV) street sweeper had been delivered and staff training would take place this week. Simmons said the splash pad’s equipment has been received but Department of Health permitting remained outstanding; staff expected groundbreaking within two to three weeks once permits arrive.
The Committee packet shows the 3.0 MG reservoir painting is complete; scaffolding removal was to begin at week’s end and a muralist would hand-paint the tank once scaffolding was removed. Fisher noted that sanitation and the reservoir fill cycle would follow and that bacteriological testing is required before the reservoir may return to service.
