He said one intersection will convert from a T intersection to a four‑leg signalized intersection when the development is completed, and that the contract covers signals plus associated median and turn‑lane work. Kennard added, "We see probably about 700,000 is the average for a signal nowadays," explaining why the overall contract reaches roughly $1.5 million.
Council members clarified the scope: the package includes two signals and pavement/median/turn‑lane work to make the site shovel‑ready for the planned HEB and associated pad sites. Council discussion also identified Brazos Paving as the contractor responsible for paving work in the project.
