The Brownsburg Police Commission on May 12 heard the introduction of Steve Secor, who the department said completed the conditions required for a conditional offer and will begin Monday as the departments crime-scene investigator. Secor said he "retired from the FBI about a year ago, as a special agent" and that he spent approximately 22 years in the FBI, largely in the Indianapolis field office.
Secor described his prior FBI collateral training as relevant to evidence-collection duties and said he looks forward to continuing a career in public service with the Town of Brownsburg. The commission welcomed Secor and the department said it will set a firm start date after final administrative steps.
