Board sees new DeSoto Development Corporation dashboard to track projects and KPIs

DeSoto Development Corporation staff presented a draft dashboard intended to centralize retreat action items, KPIs and project pipelines, saying the tool will be shared with the board via monthly links and be continuously updated. Presenters said the dashboard includes owner fields, priorities, due dates, a project map, and an AI-generated summary for each action item to help board members and staff track progress.
Mark Jones (presenter) described the dashboard as a single sign-on page that will show project status, owners and file links and will allow board members to see progress without editing the source data. "This dashboard is gonna be available to the board at all times. It'll be continuously updated," a presenter said. The board identified scenario-based planning and governance charters as items to refine in the coming weeks and asked staff to gather input from council and departmental partners.
