City staff presented Ordinance 2026-10, the ordinance levying property taxes for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027. "The City has a maximum mill levy of 8 mills. We do levy the maximum. 5 mills go to the City. 3 mills automatically go to the Fire District," Leslie Bridal told the council and noted the mill levy is expected to generate $1,012,616 in property taxes for the upcoming fiscal year.
With no questions from council, a motion to approve the ordinance on first reading was made and seconded; the council approved the motion by voice vote during the meeting. The ordinance will continue through required readings per city code.
