City staff presented Ordinance 2026-09, the annual budget for the City of Cody for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027. "Before you this evening is the ordinance for the 1st reading of the fiscal year 20 27 budget," staff member Leslie Bridal said, summarizing months of department work and three council review sessions in late May. Bridal said the version before council reflected the adjustments agreed during those sessions.
With no questions from council, a motion to approve the ordinance on first reading was made and seconded; the council approved the motion by voice vote and the mayor recorded that the motion carries "On 1st reading." The ordinance will proceed through subsequent formal readings as required by city code.
