DeVito told the board the study will evaluate whether Brushy Creek Sports Park is a suitable location, estimate construction and long‑term maintenance costs, and analyze parking and programming constraints given the site’s floodplain and current layout. Board members asked about seating/benches for spectators and liability; staff said seating is an easily added amenity and that liability and maintenance questions would be addressed in study recommendations.
If the feasibility study indicates a viable project, staff said they would return with cost estimates and potential funding paths — possibly including a Type B capital request in a future budget year.
