Bellbrook City Council honored Lieutenant Greg Narker on July 13 for more than 34 years with the Bellbrook Fire Department. The mayor presented a plaque and Chief Bazar summarized Narker’s long service record, noting awards, contributions to staffing models and community programs including Fire Prevention Week and fundraising efforts that raised more than $120,000 for MDA over time.
Lieutenant Narker addressed the council and thanked the community and his colleagues, reflecting on his start as a volunteer in 1992 and the importance of public education. "I can't say enough about this city," he said, and led a brief safety pledge for the audience. Council members praised his mentorship and public-education efforts during the recognition.
