Local Eagle Scout proposes renovation of Bellbrook entry signs

Gabe Paris, a member of Troop 516 of Centerville, presented an Eagle Scout project to renovate four city entry signs surrounding Bellbrook. Greg Sparks of the Lions Club introduced Gabe and said the Lions are sponsoring the project; Gabe described sanding, painting, replacing rusted hardware and removing or replacing Boy Scouts of America signage tied to organizational name changes.
Gabe provided a tentative schedule (August 8, 9 and 15) and described safety measures: adult volunteers will use ladders and power tools while scouts and younger volunteers will be limited to palm sanders and paintbrushes. Council thanked Gabe and the Lions Club for the offer to improve the signs and said they looked forward to the project's completion.
