During non‑agenda public comment on July 27 residents asked when students and families would learn about gifted program staffing and whether a district revamp to gifted services was still planned. Staff answered that a gifted teacher has been identified and named Rachel Slaughter, and that the district will share a transition plan and additional details in August.
In the same segment the superintendent introduced Danielle Horvath from the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) who is serving as interim special‑education director while the district fills the position. Staff said Horvath "has already hit the ground running" and that the district appreciates CCIU support as it works through special‑education needs.
