The Forney City Commission approved the preliminary and final plats for the Forney Car Wash addition, a two‑acre site north of Forney Community Park and west of South FM 548. Staff recommended approval after confirming the plat complies with subdivision rules and local code.
Benson Lee, the general contractor representing the applicant, told commissioners the vacuums have remained in the middle section of the site and that the front of the property will be landscaping. Lee said he was representing the developer at the meeting. A staff planner explained that a gate was added adjacent to Jacks Quickstop on the approved site plan because the neighboring project had not filed its plat; the gate will be removed when the adjacent plat is filed and public access and a fire lane are established.
Commissioners asked about water feasibility and site changes; staff said water remained feasible and there were no changes that required withholding approval. A motion to approve the plat carried by voice vote.
