Council hears staff recommendation to approve incentives for Resili Construction; company outlines expansion plan

Abby Falcone introduced the proposal and described the incentive package: a 10% performance incentive on withholdings over five years valued at $185,000 and a $50,000 location grant earmarked for building purchase and related renovation expenses. Falcone told council there were no changes to the proposed ordinance and staff recommended approval.
Andrew Fred Lake, identifying himself as vice president, general counsel and partner of Bruce Lee Construction (speaking for Resili/related company interests), said the company’s headcount grew from approximately 120 associates in 2020 to about 260 today and that they are negotiating for a building at 5450 France and plan roughly 40,000 square feet of renovation to consolidate operations and accommodate an additional 20–30 employees. Council asked operational and scheduling questions and expressed appreciation for the local investment.
No final vote was recorded on the ordinance at this meeting; staff recommended moving the item forward for action.
