A staff member told the commission that the owner ‘‘did come in on Friday and pull the permit to start the demo,’’ but that no demolition work had been completed and the property remains in ‘‘dangerous condition.’’
Staff presented background on Case No. 3454 and said the owners had been given 30 days to decide whether to repair or demolish the structure; they chose demolition. The commission’s chair called for a motion to approve an order authorizing the city to remove the structure if the owner fails to complete the demolition. The motion was moved and seconded as recorded in the meeting minutes; the commission voted to approve the order unanimously. The staff member said that if the owner completes the demo, ‘‘all the stuff on the property has got to be removed too… cleaned up and removed from that property as well.’’
