Council passes consent agenda, equipment purchases and public‑art commission; multiple items approved unanimously

The Cedar Park City Council approved a slate of consent items and a set of standalone resolutions during the meeting.
The consent agenda (items D and F, excluding F3) was approved unanimously. Council later voted to authorize the purchase of a replacement 12‑yard combination sewer vacuum truck (VACON) for public works at a cost not to exceed $615,000; staff said the purchase will be funded by an insurance claim through TML and VES contributions and that a demo unit was available for immediate delivery. "This unit is available for immediate delivery," said Eric Ross Huber, director of public works and utilities.
Council also approved commissioning a three‑dimensional perspective mural at the Recreate facility entrance with a $22,000 commission to the selected artist, funded from the public art fund. Staff described the mural area (approximately 71 by 11 feet) and the selection process that evaluated about 60 submissions. Other items included appointments to the Brushy Creek Regional Utility Authority board and an appointment to CAPCOG's Clean Air Coalition; these were approved by motion.
All votes reported in open session passed unanimously. Council recorded appreciation for staff and community participants across the items.
