Donna Climb, who lives on South Timberline Drive, clarified that the ravine she referenced is on Brazos and said the city previously cut grass to reduce habitat but the problem persists. "My grandchildren had six mosquito bites in five minutes," Climb said, calling the situation "an infestation" and citing public-health concerns about mosquito-borne illnesses. She asked the council to take action.
No formal motion or staff commitment to a specific remediation plan was recorded during the meeting; residents said they had filed complaints with the city. Council members did not announce a concrete next step on the record during this session.
