Staff said the city was not involved in that BWA process and that some facilities farther north remained in place, which likely explains why only portions on the applicant’s property were abandoned.
Mr. Howard told the Commission the city was not part of the BWA abandonment process, and that abandonment can be partial when easements on adjacent properties cannot be abandoned by a single property owner. He said the plat notation reflects that partial abandonment and that any necessary easement corrections connected to future development could require replatting.
