Boost pump at Central Park identified as the remaining barrier to park field refresh; staff asks for replacement

Parks and public-works staff told council that a marginally failing booster pump at Central Park is limiting planned resodding and field improvements and requested funding to replace it.
"This booster pump is... what provides the pressure for the sprinkler system," Steven said, explaining the pump sits after the well and tank and that staff are currently resetting a trip switch weekly. He said the failing pump is the "last piece" preventing scheduled resodding and other park upgrades. Oakley confirmed the pump's replacement is in the capital projects requests and described the City Hall HVAC replacement (the final major unit) as also on the equipment list.
Council discussed sequencing and asked staff to include costs and timing in the August budget discussion so park work could proceed if funds are approved.
